Dr. Erin Straub is the Director of Strategic Partnerships & Business Operations at the Food Allergy Science Initiative (FASI). She specializes in biotech strategy, alliance management, and corporate development, with a strong track record of advancing scientific innovations into real-world solutions. At FASI, she applies these skills to drive transformative research and accelerate solutions for food allergies.
Before joining FASI, Dr. Straub was a co-founder of Riva Therapeutics, where she played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s strategic direction. As Associate Director of Corporate Strategy & Operations, she led efforts to establish key partnerships, enhanced operational efficiency, and spearheaded Riva’s Series A fundraising, managing investor relations and due diligence.
Previously, Dr. Straub was part of the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, where she played a key role in the Novo Broad Greenhouse, an incubator for early-stage biotech ventures. She worked to align cross-functional teams, source and develop the incubator’s therapeutic pipeline, and establish partnerships that fostered the formation of new biotech startups.
At Harvard University’s Office of Technology Development, she managed a corporate alliance portfolio exceeding $100 million. She collaborated with leading investigators and industry partners to identify, develop, and commercialize novel therapeutics, guiding scientific innovations from discovery to IND-stage development.
Dr. Straub earned her Ph.D. in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a B.S. in Biology from Georgetown College.
